The Build
My first shipment of new parts consisted of a 1 piece floor that had the full floor, trunkpan and the frame rails already welded together. I also received new doors, door hinges, trunk dropoffs, the taillight panel, both rockers (inner & outer), the hatshelf, rear window valance, outer wheelwells, DSE inner (wide) wheelwells, the trunk lid and both quarter panels. These parts were all ordered from http://www.belairbobs.com I highly recommend him due to his exceptional customer service! (click pictures for a larger view)
My next sheet metal order will consist of the following:
o Front clip combo (Fenders, grill, 4" cowl hood, valances...)
o Hood release bracket
o Hood latch assembly
o LH & RH Inner fender skirt
o Complete firewall w/ toekicks NO AC
o Window cowl vent panel (wipers stick through)
o Top cowl panel above firewall
o LH & RH lower cowl off firewall
o Hood release kit
o LH & RH inner fender-well brace (lower)
o Front spoiler
o Rear spoiler
o Trunk gutter kit
o Complete roof
o Roof brace kit
o Complete steel dash
o LH & RH drip rail support
o LH & RH pillar drip rail support
o Master Body Bolt Kit
This should be everything needed to replace about 95% of the sheetmetal.
After getting back from the blaster, the very first thing I did was wipe it down with wax and grease remover and shot a fresh coat of PPG DP90 Epoxy. I shouldn't have any future issues with rust.
